Miraculously, after seeing Dom the month before, we visited again! But him in my turf. He ventured west after a Heinz work trip with his coworker and buddy Bryce from Oregon to Seattle where they picked up Blaire, Bryce's older brother who lives there. Then off to PT. I took them on a whirlwind tour. First top was to Lake Crescent, then off to Rialto beach for a very wet walk to Hole-in-the-Wall. Afterward, yes, on the same day, it was a trip to La Push then we were all soaked so decided to try and dry out before stopping at the Hoh Rainforest. The rain let up and we dried slightly and played around in the Hoh. Dom was anxious for some hot springs so his brilliant plan to stay at the Hot Springs worked and we booked a cabin. It was pretty posh and they all felt like we were at summer camp. The next morning after we'd all dried out and rested, got in the springs. I'd left my suit at home so my attire was dirty sports bra, underwear and Dom's used boxers over top. Luckily we didn't take a camera into the hot springs. This warmed us all up. I showed them the Sol Duc waterfalls, then off to Hurricane Ridge. Of course after all the rain we'd been through and soaking wet, the damn mountain was socked in too. Geez PNW! We dooo want people to come back and not be disappointed. After that, we decided it was time to get to some wineries. We went to two on the way home, had some thai food and then I showed them the PT nightlife. The next day the rain relented so I took them to see the science center and the Farmer's Market before they had to head back to Seattle. It was a wonderful visit even though it was all packed in to 3.5 days --- these guys made me laugh and I needed it!
