Spring Break in Rehoboth Beach

School was out for 10 days and so I figured I better take advantage of getting out of town and doing something before I'm working 6-7 days/week. I had purchased a livingsocial deal for a B&B in Rehoboth Beach, DE for Jason and I as a Christmas gift to us both. It was time to use it before it expired. The weather wasn't ideal but I didn't mind at all. The Delaware beaches are spectacular in the off season if you ask me. Free of the crowds, traffic and noise. It's like your own personal beach in the off season, no lines, no parking meters or traffic to get there, cheap accommodations. The B&B we stayed in was lovely and I was content just staying in and napping or reading or watching TV, a treat since we don't have it. We went to two state parks which are beaches, searched for coins from a shipwreck, found dead horseshoe crabs (which I considered keeping until I realized it'd be stinky), and walked looking for treasures in the rack line. We visit Lewes, a cute town just north which we used to go to in our DC days. There's a restaurant with the best cream of crab soup so we hit that spot and walked around town. On the drive home we stopped to see one of Jason's friends who has moved to Delaware permanently. Good getaway!

It was dead, I wasn't torturing it.

See the balloon! That's why you should never use balloons! I bet that balloon is from China and a turtle is going to end up eating it and dying :(

The oldest building in Delaware I think

Cape Henlopen State Park, a great one
