One of my last weekends as a substitute instead of a naturalist, so I was able to get out and about on a real Saturday-Sunday weekend.
First I went to my buddy Tamar's baby shower down in Arlington, Va. Tamar and I have been friends since when I first moved to DC. We worked together at my first big girl job, Reading Is Fundamental. Now here and Dan are expecting their first baby, they'll be terrific parents!
Then I went on a hike with Aunt Tammy to Gathland State Park where I meant a AT thru hiker that I've been following on his youtube channel.
