35

What's 35 feel like?
This is what it looks like

It's both great and the most contemplative I've felt about an age. I look back and think about what I had envisioned my life at 35 to be. It'd be different than today's reality. Not in a good or bad way.

I have many days where I think of how if I died tomorrow, that'd be okay. I believe that is because I've lived life, I've not let it happen to me, I've made it happen. When I've wanted to do things and see things, I've done it. I've reached in, and sometimes, I've dived headfirst. I'm proud of myself for that and what I've accomplished.

I find myself thinking of my community. It's not easy being a single lady on your birthday when you get older. Nobody to give you a morning birthday hug and schmooch, to look you in the eye and give you a big smile. But I got so many calls and texts and packages and cards and thoughts...I feel lucky, honored to have you in my life. I feel stronger and wiser and humbled with you in my life. So many people to lift me up, who send me positive-ity and love. People who have kind words, who call, who write, who visit, who text, who email, who show up. I am overwhelmed with the love I have in my life. I have gratitude for all of you, you make life worth living.

Well, darlin, I am SO SO sorry I wasn't one of those people calling you and wishing you happy happy birthday. I will absolutely mark this on my calendar so I don't miss you next year. I love and miss you all the time and yet I'm so glad you've made some decisions about where you are and creating your life there. LOVE LOVE LOVE
