Here it goes again
After 5 months of data entry - it looks like the end is in sight, which is both a relief and a little bit scary. I found out on Friday that my employer probably only has a few more weeks of solid full time work left for me. She's going to try to find bits and pieces of other projects for me to work on as a way to help me out until I find other work. So it's back to the drawing board. I'm going to focus efforts on temporary field work on the peninsula. If that isn't working out, I'll extend it to the Washington and Oregon state and then consider permanent positions and then perhaps even look at different regions of the country (no, not back to the east coast yet) - been considering the Southwest. If all else fails, I'll just look for whatever I can find here in town - there have been a few things popping up lately (waitressing included but not preferred). Not really ready to uproot but starting to get emotionally prepared since it's likely. In the meantime had a great weekend after I found out about all this and I'll do a separate blog post on that. On to a busy week of work, resume writing, cover letter updating, reference contacting and job hunting amongst some volunteering and fun stuff.
