However, daylight savings has been a lifesaver and it is complete and utter awesomeness to experience sunlight still at 8pm at night. I'm excited to see some sunsets in the coming weeks since they're pretty spectacular here. Besides my work being sporadic and not 40hrs/wk these days, I've been heavily involved in volunteering in my free time. A lot of science center action, but also one of the local dance studios is hosting an art/fashion event that I'm helping with and then I've been doing volunteering with the Department of Fish & Wildlife, good opportunity to network, no?
Let's just say, I keep busy when I'm not working, and so much that I hardly have been getting enough sleep... Volunteering is very rewarding but I was also housesitting, and hosting people over for dinners and making food for my friend and her new baby and birthdays and...the list goes on....I just wanted someone to do something for me and take care of me cause I just felt like give, give, give, give, give....but karma, right?
Last week I was still in denial about job hunting and having to go back to that grindstone. I've had a productive Monday though and my resume is now updated and ready for field work applications. I just need to decide on which jobs to apply to first and create cover letters. In the meantime, I've taken some photos of spring in the area...it's no east coast spring, pretty chilly and the flowers and tree buds are barely popping out and here we are mid-April...but I'll take the slightly warmer temps!
