Last week I made a visit south to see Jess and Rick before they headed off for the holidays. We had a great lunch to celebrate Jess' 25th birthday and for Christmas. I'm so glad these two aren't too far away and provide a good excuse for a little trip out of town every few weeks.
Also, Gwen and Joe, formerly of Port Townsend, came to visit me from Tacoma! Hooray! I hadn't seen these guys in many many months. We had a super day in PT enjoying the downtown, a new lunch spot, coffee-shopping, and then dinner at Waterfront Pizza. Life has often been lonesome since my return this past fall to the area; but having these friend visits, especially around the holidays, certainly brightens up my overcast winter, and makes me feel special. If only these great people still lived in PT :(
