Spring is here and gone already, I know, I'm behind, so even though I am living an internet-less life with my housing. I'll try my best to write a bunch before it's July - yack! July?! How's that happen?? Early May I was house sitting for my favorite cat, Nellie. You can see her below. She's adorable and chirps to talk to you, she rolls around on her belly, she plays fetch like a dog and she's very cuddily. She also has epilepsy. What a unique cat!

Amongst having visitors coming to see me in the PNW, I also moved out of my fall/winter housesit and on to the boat. If you hadn't talked to me, I had a lot of reservations about this move but if I could live in the trailer, I knew I could do it. So far it's been a mild adjustment - the hardest we only have a little port a pottie for #1s and no true refridgeration. David calls the bilge the fridge, but you can't keep milk or much dairy and produce you have to get and eat within less than a week - so no, it's not a real fridge. Cooking involves either one hot plate for heat a tiny sink or making a fire and using the wood stove. Below you'll see my first boat meal creation - quiche made in the wood stove oven (it was really good) and sausages and potatoes which I cooked on top of the fire. All turned out well, no food poisoning yet! Since then, I've made brownies and pizza and all sorts of stuff. This may have been my greatest meal though when I was still a novice.

The fab 4 - Val, Todd, me and Heather - broke up. Heather left PT in the first week of June to bike to Oklahoma and do some traveling via plane and car and family visit and will eventually, by fall, end up back on the east coast for grad school. It was a hard pill for me to swallow. One of my closest friends in this town since I moved here three years ago, setting off on a new adventure. One can't help but feel left behind and envious. It won't be the same w/o her. I'll see her in August though at our friend's wedding, so I'll survive.

Before Heather left, we went sailing on her boyfriend James' boat Chianti and then David took us out on Sea Cloud, a boat exchange if you will. We had awesome weather both days. In fact the entire spring was pretty joyous in terms of weather - the best since I moved out here.

| David's old gross hat that looked like he murdered someone in it finally blew off the boat so he got this nice, new shiny one that is clean - I approve. |
