I ended my final days at the state park in the very beginning of October. I was told I was lucky they kept me so long. It was pretty bittersweet. While the beginning was quite stressful to get my feet on the ground, once I did I went running, all summer long. The staff and volunteers (Bonnie and Nik!!) were very supportive of what programs I dreamt up and let me run wild or helped me make them a reality. I gained confidence in myself as a coordinator and naturalist. I hadn't been in the environmental education realm since leaving Washington in 2014 and it felt good to be back. What a positive experience. I did some stats and the park manager was impressed. I learned so much and got to work with wonderful people. Knowing it was my last day was a total bummer as I really felt I'd gotten some serious momentum going...but Maryland doesn't hire full time permanent naturalists. Maybe next year?

| One evening Joe took me to see a history viaduct, this Seneca Creek which runs under it |
