Some times

I finally felt called to post. This is a post without any photos, just thoughts. Writing will have to suffice.

I've moved from my home in Frederick with Jason (our relationship ended in the summer) to living in a beautiful eco-friendly house in Jefferson, MD. It's only 7 miles west of Frederick, a suburb. It's close to South Mountain and surrounded by farms. I live with Lacey and Phil, a environmentally-minded vegan couple who work for Fox Haven Organic Farm and Learning Center, Hibou, their skittsh grey cat, and their two rats Mac and Tonka.

I've been substitute teaching full time, working nights at a used book warehouse (filling internet orders), and randomly pet sitting. I am supposed to start a fourth job which will involve running nature-themed birthday parties on the weekend. Eeking by financially. I had put efforts in the fall to applying for all types of environmental education positions, and some administrative jobs in the Germantown, MD area. That's where Joe lives, the person I was dating.

That relationship took me by surprise (happily) in September after the frustration of Jason and I not working out. You can look back and see some of the adventures Joe and I had here on the blog. Unfortunately, Joe has ended our relationship. Change. Reevaluation. There's a record playing in my head on repeat, what happened? I am saddened as my connection with Joe was deep and has been unmatched by any other romantic interest.

I've been trying to fill my time up so I'm not sitting at home with the record playing in my head, seeing friends/family and attending events, training's, volunteering at the state park I worked at this past summer and at a cat shelter. Then there's reading and binge watching Netflix. I haven't even had time to go to the gym with my work schedule.

I ponder what's next, back to the state park and if not, then what? Back to Washington, another job in Maryland, or maybe something completely different?

In the meantime, if you'd rather receive email notifications when I post, then I've added a bar on the homepage where you can sign up to do that. As always, thanks for reading ~Claudia
