From Florida, I flew up to DC and spent a joyous 1.5 days with Jason, we went ice skating and to a movie and had a lovely brunch in Rockville with Amibeth and Ryan. Mom came down and with Olivia we went to the American History Museum. Mom and I continued onto the Natural History, which is where my knowledge of alga blooms came full circle and I had an ah-ha moment. It was beautiful weather and nice walking weather the entire time I was in DC. I was sad to not have time for visits with the other usual suspects but in due time!

Onward with Mom up to Carlisle for a week. The weather turned and was quite rainy for several days, but I was distracted with some lovely time with my bf Allie and her kiddos. Great catch up time and wonderful to see the kids and the Krebs family! Mom and I spent some time hiking and walking and reading and shopping and eating.

We had a nice Thanksgiving and Mom even make a 15 pounder! We didn't eat it all of course and it'll serve as Christmas dinner for her as well. The weather was really wonderful as well at around 60 degrees and sunny!!! And I really needed that sun. I'm back in Washington now. Have begun more intensive job training, am getting readjusted to the trailer and unpacked. I'm battled a cold and other aches and pains, it's also dark, cold and winter...I'm ready for spring.
