All things spring

Spring is here early in the PNW. With a mild winter, the flowers and trees have begun to bloom weeks in advance. This however has been accompanied by what looks like pollen winds that blow in from the west. I've had some pretty irritating dry skin, and I suspect it could even be due to spring allergies since it only picked up in the past few weeks. Working part time or being "retired" as some of my friends put it has been anything but calm and quiet. My days are filled with work, house chores, babysitting, watching various animals, and volunteerism. Last week I helped with an event that raises money for the Jefferson County Fund for Women and Girls. Each Saturday I've been walking dogs at the local animal shelter, and this week I'm on duty to help watch a dog and 3 year old of friend's who will be having their second baby. I suppose being "retired" can make you a target for doing all sorts of random stuff. I try to have fun and get out of town in between all the busy-ness and hope to get out and see some sights on my "list" the next few months. I have got to get better at saying no :)

Evan and I-Kwoan celebrate Ollie's 3rd birthday which was only a week ago. Baby #2 comes today!

David and I ventured to pick up my new glasses an hour south and stopped at this brewery in scenic Poulsbo

We then went to this brewery which is open air, on a farm

One Monday I helped do some yard demo. My friend's mother purchased a home but lives in Wyoming...so I helped her and her boyfriend (on the post puller) and my friend Matt (hired help for the day) do some serious yard waste removal, etc.

After assisting Aliina with her mom's yard, I suckered her into volunteering with me :)
