In blew the wind of fall, and with it some much needed change. It's the only thing we can count on, change. I have had so much in such a little time in my life. I suppose it's something I now thrive off of. The challenge of reinventing a new life every so often. Well, Pittsburgh didn't hold the answers for me and after a year, there were many things that weren't jiving. I spent many days off traveling to and exploring other places, or dreaming about it, instead of finding that locally. Part of that was likely my job in the restaurant where I had difficulty finding friends who I really connected with. Some, but often my coworkers were half my age. Getting old, yes. I spent some days off when I was sick in Frederick, MD, again helping Jason to prep a house for painting and even did some of the painting. He snapped this shot of me in action.
And then, I had been pursuing a job with WA Dept of Fish and Wildlife since June. It was finally posted in late September, I applied and it closed in early October. After some assistance from a friend in the agency, I was sure I would get the job. I interviewed well and waited for the call. I had been feeling some hesitation to take the plunge back across the country, mostly due to my beau, Jason, think pre-Washington state days, who I'd reconnected with. He said, no go to the move. So I started to pack my things in anticipation.
And had my BFF Gigi by my side.
And then, I didn't get the job. Frustration!!!! What now? Don't want to move job-less back to the little town of PT. Jason and I discussed giving our relationship another real shot, moving somewhere together, but where? Someplace where he can still do his work, but neither of us wanted to live in DC. So...Frederick, MD. A visit back to the Shady Bear cabin and a day of visiting apartments, found one! Signed a lease, back to PA for a few weeks, then we'd move. Below was my last night with Gigi, the sweetest pooch a girl could ask for!
