The continued to be remarkably warm in Vancouver, nearly 80 which I haven't felt temperatures that warm in a very long time. I'd forgotten my swim suit so after a quick stop to H&M and $20 later, I was equipped. We set off for Kits Beach - a friend had recommended this spot. The first photo below was on the way, we'd just gotten off a small boat from downtown. We walked over a small dog beach and then around a corner and BAM! Thousands of people - at first I was pretty disappointed - this wasn't my idea of fun. We walked down the sidewalk and there were hundreds of people all over the beach, playing volleyball, lounging in the grass. Ken was determined, though, so we pressed on. He'd read online about the largest saltwater pool being on this beach, and shortly on our walk, we located this pool. Unfortunately, it was a bit expensive, but this meant inside the fence, it wasn't as crowded and we'd be able to find a little patch of grass to ourselves. We were still packed in there but Ken and I eventually found a little spot, plunked down and then laid out in the sun for hours. It actually felt like summer. We had a long but beautiful walk back to the subway, where I also took a few shots. Good day!
