Bike Pittsburgh

Dom had always wanted to take one of the trails near his house and ride it toward downtown. When I visited, we finally fulfilled his goal of his and biked the trail to the 3 corners where the Allegheny, Ohio and Monogahela Rivers meet. Dom works for Heinz and so we HAD to take a photo in front of the Pittsburgh Pirate Heinz field. The first few miles consisted of alongside a railroad track with large rocks. My eyes were glued to the road as I feared falling off, popping a tire or getting a rock stuff in my spokes. No problem...except on the way back, we discovered we'd incorrectly put the front tire on and the little lever (we later learned called the "skewer") was now intervering with the spokes. Dom used his handy bottle opener to bend it back enough so I could ride the rest of the way home, hoping the tire wouldn't fall off. We returned unscathed and then went on an adventure to find a new piece...see photos of the actual ride below...and mind you we left at 7:45am and were sweating!
