Monterey Aquarium and such cont'd

More photos from both the aquarium and the Monterey downtown. Much of the history of this place is from the sardine factories which made that area so famous. Old sardine factories are now other shops, restaurants and stores, even the aquarium used to be a sardine packing plant. Cannery Row, a setting for another Steinbeck book, is located in this town as well, but isn't really much to look at, hence no photos.
baby shark in its egg case growing up, you can see it there above the yolk inside. They used a light behind the egg case so you could easily see the baby shark!
Sea jelly, what kind, no idea, looked deadly

Sea turtle!
Aquarium still has old sardine plant name on it.

Another old canning company
Right next to the aquarium, a group of scuba divers

Memorial for divers who would maintain the hoses which sardines were sucked through

More jellies - so fun!
