Along my Route 30 journey was another important spot - the memorial for the Flight 93 plane crash on 9/11. The full memorial is still in progress, however there is a wall that has been built with the names of those who lost their lives, and a long wall with nooks for leaving flowers, etc. The crash site is now overgrown with many wild flowers, but they mow a path to a large rock which represents the site of impact. A visitor center, long walkway to the center, an a wetland trail are still in progress to complete this memorial. It was very moving to be there and puts life in perspective.
