I'm still doing my random jobs - little data entry here, little storm drain marking there and the occasional babysitting/housesitting. Last week I was with Bay, a sweet 13 year old lab and two cats (Charlie and Lucy). The house was cozy and I hosted Heather's b-day dinner, the garden was lush and the time to myself was therapeutic. On the way to a friend's house I found a little catepillar on me also.
The hungry catepillar
This past weekend marked the one year anniversary of my first weekend here - and I attended Boomfest for my 2nd year. You may remember this was the hippy fest that I rode a zipline on and ate indian food. The repeat was fun, dancing to a local band, homemade munchies and lots of hula hooping. See link to video below.
Work will begin winding down for me at the start of July 1st and I'm also planning on moving out of my house in a week or so and into Val, Jess and Julia's house (they have a room I can sleep in). It'll be a temporary move and perhaps just a place to rest my head a few weeks until I figure out August and beyond. I'm beginning to look at maps and plan in my head a roadtrip south for 2-3 weeks with a final destination of the Bay area (in California). I will most likely come back and teach a summer camp for a week, do some housesitting and hopefully, something will have come through by then and lead me in the next direction.
