Mom was here
Last Sunday through Tuesday, my mom came to visit me in PT. I showed her and Dave around Port Townsend, the marine science center and the downtown. The weather even cooperated! Unfortunately, I got strep throat and felt ill much of the time. We drove west to Olympic National Park and did some beautiful hikes on Tuesday, Marymere Falls and Sol Duc Falls. Both easier hikes with almost instant gratification. It reminds me again of why I came here. Mom and Dave continued on to the west coast of the Olympics and down to Mount St. Helens and Mt. Rainer. Work called me back to PT and also recovering from strep throat and a cold at once. This coming week I will find out if I got the job at the North Olympic Salmon Coalition which will determine the next few weeks of my life. Exciting stuff. If I don't get it, I plan on packing up my stuff getting out of my house and then following a few job leads before I go travel for a few weeks, maybe two and going southbound. A solid full time job at a great non profit would be the other outcome and then in that case, searching for my own apt and then probably some shorter trips to take in the summer before life would get crazy.
