The day was started by my friend bringing me donuts and tea in bed (thanks H), and then participating in a beach clean-up since it was World Ocean's Day. The cute kids that I worked with the week before to mark storm drains were there and when I found my first nurdle (pre-production plastic pellet) they sang happy birthday to me.

My friend I-Kwoan then took me to Banana Leaf and stuffed me full of pad thai, basil vegetable, and sticky mango rice. Yum! I then went to the park pictured above - one of the most beautiful parks I've ever been in - Chetzmoka - which overlooks Puget Sound, many sailboats - its the stuff fairytales are made of. The faint ringing of the buoy bell a mile or so away lulled me into a peaceful mid-day nap.

I ended the day with some lovely people (James, Heather, Julia and Val). They made me a big ole pan of nachos. We swigged it down with wine, beer and then mud pie ice cream. There was even a homemade blueberry crisp.
It was a great birthday and the Pacific NW even gave me the gift of sunshine. What more can a girl ask for? Well, I received many wonderful texts, calls, emails, e-cards, real mail, real presents and hugs. Thank you for making me feel so special :)!
