Rock climbing

When the weather was acting summer-like.
One of the walls

Last Friday I finally redeemed my groupon for some rock climbing. In the winter doldrums of January I needed something to look forward to and found this deal. I'd been wanting to rock climb since my foray probably close to 3 years ago in DC.
I took the ferry north to Coupeville and then drove an hour to get to Anacortes. There is a place called Mt. Erie where I met our instructor and the other person who'd be climbing for the day. I had a fantastic time and got to climb four different walls. The weather was a bit erratic and I swear we experienced three different seasons up there. We saw some eagles even. I have some friends in PT who have climbing gear so I'm hoping/looking forward to doing more of it in the near future. My poor knees are all bruised up though. Luckily it's never warm enough here to wear shorts or skirts!
