A trip to Seattle

On Friday, I traveled to Seattle. It was a lovely day and I visited the famous Pike's Place with Heather and then headed east to get her to REI. We stopped for lunch along the way and then she continued on and I walked to Fremont, which is North Seattle. Didn't realize how north though until I was nearly 2 miles into it and not near the bus lines. It was okay since it was a nice day though and I didn't really mind the exercise. I met up with Joe (who used to live in PT) in a park and had some great catch up time right outside his offices, Ubermind. Sounds like his company may be the next big thing. It's conveniently just down the road from the Fremont Troll. So up the hill I went for some photos. It's a big troll that a few artists created to bring a bigger sense of community to Fremont. My friend Tim, who I hadn't seen in 3.5 years, picked me up and off we went to a bar with 64 beers on tap. We caught up and I heated up in the sun. No burn though and after almost 3 hours we got some prepared Trader Joe's food and ate at Golden Garden Park. It was a lovely day and I saw Mt. Rainier in its full glory on the way home.
