Snowshoe-ing! After 2.5hrs to get there, in early January, we went snow shoeing up to Hurricane Ridge. It was a cold and windy day, but we went out for over 2 hours, what a workout! David got shoes for Christmas and I found the wonders of Costco snow shoes. The end of the trail meant scaling up/crawling a very steep embankment, but it was quite the view at the top and the clouds cleared a bit. What a day in the Pacific NW.
