On my second day in Glacier, I took off to hike to Iceberg Lake in Many Glacier. It was a beautiful day and I went along with a ranger and a few others. There was a moose right on the path, my first moose sighting! We saw evidence of a porcupine that had been stressed and lost many of it's quills a day prior, as well as a black bear and grizzlies. The lake at the end was quite picturesque and we sat with the many many other hikers to take in the setting. On the way back, hikers came toward us and told us the people in front of us had seen a grizzly go right over the path. We never saw it, nor did any of the other groups we passed, but I learned some tips on how to use my bear mace in the event that we did happen upon one. I was so tuckered out after this hike and only sleeping 4 hours prior, that I felt I could barely make it back to my campsite for a nap. I made it though and had a nice long nap and was even able to go to sleep that night.
