I only made it as far as Marble Creek, just west of North Cascades NP the first day. My departure from PT was hard and the vortex pulled tightly (I joke there is one that doesn't let people go or makes them come back). I drove through Oso, where there was a catastrophic landslide earlier this year. The area where it occured was surprisingly small but it looked like a bomb had went off. Even though it's tragic, I wanted to be humbled by Mother Nature and her power, I was.
I stayed in a mosquito infested campground and my rear must look like I got a disease since I have huge bites from forgetting to spray that area with repellent.
