Don't knock it before you try it. My friend Justin here in Pittsburgh owns many guns. He hunts for deer and turkey. I had never shot a gun before. He offered to show me how and to take me to a shooting range. I'm all about going to the golf driving range and hitting some golf balls to relieve stress. I had been thinking this would be similar. Justin was very serious and thorough in explaining how to use the guns, etc. But I have to say, I was probably shaking the entire time I used the guns and felt extremely nervous. To have so much power in your hangs is pretty frightening. I suppose that a car is just as lethal, but the difference is that a car isn't designed to kill humans whereas a handgun is. After being very opposed to handguns however, I felt like this was an opportunity to try it out and be more informed about this opinion. I took some photos and a video,

It was pretty odd how anyone could come to the range, there was no one there to regulate, and people just walk up and pull out their guns and shoot. A few people take charge and "clear" the range after a while so that people stop shooting and go to get their targets. My question was, what if someone doesn't hear? Or is a lunatic? Well, anyway, it was an experience, one I don't plan to replicate, but perhaps I will skeet shooting - that's more about sport and about hunting, which is the area where where guns make more sense. Well, anyway, signing off.
