the cottage

I forgot to take pictures of the cottage I rented in Shepherdstown. I'd never used airbnb before, and overall I was satisfied...however I think it could have been cleaner, the owners could have considered getting it set up before we arrived, and it was infested with stink bugs. It did have a sauna, hot tub and lofted sleeping area, wifi, and cable tv. It was a nice getaway and I was able to relax, napped, something that can be challenging on times, the stress we put on ourselves. 

It was also good to be around Jason. He is someone I lived with for 4 years and he knows me better than most people. We laughed, smiled and I felt comforted to be in the company of a true friend.

Funny story...there were stink bugs crawling around in the place, and I woke up to a stench..."it's a skunk," I yelled. Jason - "no, it's the stink bugs," me - "are they dying because of the cold?"

Never figured out if it was the stink bugs or a skunk, although on the drive into town, saw roadkill...a skunk.
