Manatees!!!!!!!!!!!

To Florida for 4 days! What a well timed trip. I'd been suffering from the winter blues, something that happens nearly every year. Dom and I had discussed a winter FL trip back in the fall and I'd purchased tickets for the two of us as a Christmas present. We had terrific weather, got lots of sleep, ate and drank, got a pedicure, exercised, all good things. It was helpful to get away from the cold and the overcast weather to feel the sun on my face again. First stop was to visit the manatee park as we had nearly two years ago. Last time, there had been fewer than 10 and it was overcast, thus hard to see the marine mammals. Not the case this time, probably 100ish manatees and sunny, so great to see. We got probably about two feet away from one when standing on a pier. Amazing! Sadly, most have scars on their bodies from being hit by boat propellers :(
