Breaking the monotany mid-January through February can be the hardest time of year for me. Having not really visited DC proper since three years ago, I planned a trip down. I spent time with Jason and we explored our old house and neighborhood, even running into our old neighbors and chit chatting. We walked around our old neighborhood and up to Bethesda where I spent much of my time in the years I lived in that area. I got to visit with his family, have great food, and partook in the arts and culture of DC. My first trip to the Library of Congress was a highlight. We also stopped at the Natural History Museum and Hirschorn Art Gallery. I'll post photos from the trip in two blog postings.
